Discipleship & Bible Study Overview - PDF

How does a follower of Christ internalize the gospel to serve their neighbors?

In the New Testament we find that Jesus' life was all about three relationships: His relationship with His Father, with His disciples, and with people who didn't know God. We believe there are four strategic ways we can choose to invest our time that grows all three of these relationships in our own lives.

We call this way of living The 5% Life.

1% God Time:
Time spent daily alone in fellowship with God
1% Gather Time: Time spent weekly gathered together with my church
1% Group Time: Time spent weekly meeting with a small group from my church
2% Go Time: Time spent annually doing mission work

God Time: Spending time alone every day with god

The call on the life of a Christian is not only doing things for God. The call on the life of a Christian is to be with God. Everything God desires to accomplish through you flows out of the abundance of His presence in your life as you spend time with Him.
DEVOTIONAL RESOURCE

Gather Time: Spending Time in Worship

When Jesus lived on earth he modeled not only God time, but also gather time. It was the pattern of Jesus' life to worship every Sunday with God's people. We gather for worship because God is worthy of our worship and because we have a responsibility for the spiritual well-being of others in God's family. In other words, worship is about giving back to God and others.

Group time: Connecting with a Small Group

Picture
We seek to connect people to live the life of a Jesus follower with each other at Peace. We believe that one of the best ways to see this happen is through group time.

Group time is time spent consistently in community with a small group with other believers, walking the spiritual growth journey together. A small group is a community of people relating to God, one another, and the world. We would love to help you find the group that's right for you.

Go Time: Serving Others

Every week men, women, and teenagers from Peace serve in ministries all over Goose Creek. These Good Samaritans use their gifts and abilities to serve others in the community. We desire to see people within our church internalize the Gospel by expressing their love of God through service.
