"I acknowledged my sin to you, and my iniquity I did not hide; I said, 'I will confess my transgressions to the Lord'; and you forgave the guilt of my sin." - Psalm 32:5
The Christian life is a life of continual repentance because we find ourselves often "missing the mark" and failing to follow God without blemish. Sometimes we may come to a point of utter frustration and anger over our failures. It can begin to feel hopeless for the believer who is in a season of struggle, but we shouldn't lose heart. The way we combat sin is not to hide it or even to be ashamed of it, but to confess it to God and ask Him to do what only He can do: extend to us His grace! And remember that no matter how you stumble, that grace enables grace to live holy lives before Him and experience the moment-by-moment victory He alone can bring. Prayer: Do you regularly confess your sin to God?
